Type 2 Gone Forever

I will be keeping my blog name “Faith Won The Day” as it fits perfectly with my goal of eliminating diabetes and I still occasionally make posts on that subject. The name “Type 2 Gone Forever” speaks for itself, freedom now and forever from diabetes!

My goal is to be consistent with both my count and checking that count more then every few days and to be at 90 to 120 daily. My count for 04/20/2020 at 9:18am = 156. I am using one of my canning 24oz Mason jars filled to the top with ice and water; I tried adding a slice of lemon however I didn’t care for it so it’s going to be just water and ice.

Below is the Facebook post I made on April 16, 2020 explaining my goal.

I’ve made for me a major decision. I currently am a type 2 diabetic and I don’t want to be a diabetic anymore! So, first step is I’m learning what diabetes is, how and why I have it and how to change. First step is changing my eating by learning exactly what I’m eating, how much and how often. I’ve never been good at maintaining journals so I think I will use my blog instead. I’m also not very truthful to myself about my eating however this is a must change! My count goes up and down daily, never consistent. My first major goal is water, I must improve my intake. I have been on pills for over 20 years, pills only no insulin but I don’t think that’s something to be proud of. Being home I’m eating like a country preacher and it’s ridiculous. I lost 68lbs and I currently work with Dr. McDonald at the University of Chicago Hospital however the weight was coming off, the diabetes remained.

Why you say are you telling us this? When I look at my church, my community, my city, we are in pain from physical illness and for me a decision must be made! Change is something I must do for self and hopefully my journey will help others. Yes, I recognize slip ups will happen however I must try.

I’m going to see what blogs are pertaining to me although I’m wondering if diabetes affects all people in the same manner. They say type 2 is from personal choice, for me I would have to say that’s true. I have access to healthy food, I don’t eat healthy. I cook and I go to restaurants, I can eat right. To be honest with self I did this to myself and as I did it to self I have to change for self. One idea I have is accountability, I function better on something like this with others. Anyone interested in joining the team? I think I’ll name it “Type 2 Gone Forever”

I’ve spent the last few days trying to learn about diabetes and I was so surprised how much information is readily available. I will post various articles and programs that will hopefully assist us on our new path. There are more than just the two types of diabetes however I will be dealing with the two primary types although I strongly suggest that you study the others for yourselves.  It is important to understand what the two major types are and how they affect the body. I have included a definition of Prediabetes which is  urgent that ALL learn thereby taking necessary steps prior to being diagnosed with Type 2.

The following definitions are from Web MD:

https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/guide/types-of-diabetes-mellitus

Prediabetes is when your blood sugar is higher than it should be but not high enough for your doctor to diagnose diabetes. More than a third of people in the United States have it, but most of them don’t know it.Prediabetes can make you more likely to get type 2 diabetes and heart disease. Exercising more and losing extra pounds, even as little as 5% to 7% of your body weight, can lower those risks.

Type 1 Diabetes:

is also called insulin-dependent diabetes. It used to be called juvenile-onset diabetes, because it often begins in childhood.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition. It happens when your body attacks your pancreas with antibodies. The organ is damaged and doesn’t make insulin.

Your genes might cause this type of diabetes. It could also happen because of problems with cells in your pancreas that make insulin.

Many of the health problems that can come with type 1 happen because of damage to tiny blood vessels in your eyes (called diabetic retinopathy), nerves (diabetic nephropathy), and kidneys (diabetic nephropathy). People with type 1 also have a higher risk of heart disease and stroke.

Treatment for type 1 diabetes involves injecting insulin into the fatty tissue just under your skin.

Type 2 Diabetes:

Type 2 diabetes used to be called non-insulin-dependent or adult-onset diabetes. But it’s become more common in children and teens over the past 20 years, largely because more young people are overweight or obese. About 90% of people with diabetes have type 2. (I believe this has changed especially in the black communities regardless of age)When you have type 2 diabetes, your pancreas usually creates some insulin. But either it’s not enough or your body doesn’t use it like it should. Insulin resistance, when your cells don’t respond to insulin, usually happens in fat, liver, and muscle cells.

Type 2 diabetes is often milder than type 1. But it can still cause major health complications, especially in the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys, nerves, and eyes. Type 2 also raises your risk of heart disease and stroke.

People who are obese — more than 20% over their target body weight for their height — have an especially high risk of type 2 diabetes and the health problems that can follow. Obesity often causes insulin resistance, so your pancreas has to work harder to make more insulin. But it’s still not enough to keep your blood sugar levels where they should be.

Treatment for type 2 diabetes involves keeping a healthy weight, eating right, and exercising. Some people need medication, too.

PBS presented an outstanding program “Blood Sugar Rising: America’s Hidden Epidemic” which is a definite must for what was to me unknown information. I had no idea that even thin people can have type 2 diabetes and the program brought out all the fast food stores and the lack of fresh vegetables in the black and minority communities thereby creating what is called a “food desert”

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/blood-sugar-rising/home/watch

Very Well Health https://www.verywellhealth.com/what-are-food-deserts-4165971 published an article title “Food Deserts” by Robin Correll, MPH November 28, 2019 (MPH means Master of Public Health)

One of the points Dr. Correll said that I fully agree with is starting a community garden. I’m hoping that if we ever stop getting snow (I’m in Chicago and it just snowed again last week) I can start my garden. I always do containers and last year instead of placing them in the yard I put them on the deck along with flowers; we were drowning in tomato and pepper plants! (Next post let’s look at food)

If anyone has information to add please feel free to share. Until next time,

Love and Blessings

July 29, 2018 The Dream Series Step IX: Listen Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

Listen:

  1. To make an effort to hear something. It means to concentrate, to give attention to or tune in

How Do We Listen To God?

  1. Prayer – Communion with God
  2. Meditation – Conscious thoughts on the aspects of God
  3. The Silence – A receptive state of mind one enters into so the soul can listen to the “still small voice” within

Listen:

Be still and hear God’s intuitive guidance as it leads you through all the inner and outer actions need to demonstrate your dream

There is no wrong dream; only the right person for the right dream

When I accept the dream I must also accept the labor

MY DREAM – MY WORK

Stop playing with it and claim, work, and own that which is already mine

Listening is a skill to be cultivated!

Whenever I allow my listening to be poor my communication is broken

To avoid breakdowns in my communication LISTEN

Stop allowing myself to be distracted by external sounds and sights when I should be listening

How I listen to people tends to be the same way I listen to God. This must stop!

The way I do anything is the way I do everything

Listening is a skill both externally and spiritually

I will develop my skill of spiritual listening

A skill is a behavior that can be repeated whenever needed

A skill does not require luck, it requires dedication and serious work

Stay focused with God

What am I concentrating on or paying attention to?

Concentrate on what I want to manifest

The choice on what I concentrate on always rests with me

Skills to Develop:

  1. Silence the noise: noise is any distraction that prevents me from realizing my dreams. Do not allow myself to become condition to the noise. Noise has the ability to interfere with thoughts
  2. Focus my attention: It is not enough to quiet the noise I must replace the noise with something. Use the law of my mind, go into prayer and meditation bringing forth the Silence

There can be nothing missing for the Universe (GOD) is always full

Prayer takes my attention away from the noise and points me back to God

By concentrating on God my good starts to flow and my cup runs over Jeremiah 29:11 (NRSV) :For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord .. to give you a future with hope”

Whatever my “seeming” need is God has already filled it up

Prayer opens my conscious up so I may be receptive to God

Have I allowed myself to say “I want” yet I fail to receive what God has blessed me with?

Do not take external limitations into prayer

My flow works what my mind tells it. OPEN MY MIND AND BE

When I speak, think, and feel through limitations is what I will be filled up with

God works as my consciousness directs

My prayer is intended to turn me back to the Truth

Stop looking outside of myself for my truth

Do not look for someone to provide for me the answer to a question they know nothing about Jeremiah 33:3 (NRSV) “call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known”

By listening I can stay in the Mind of the Creative Force

God has already provided for me USE IT

Flush away that which doesn’t serve my purpose

Meditate on the Aspects of God: Life, Love, Wisdom, Power, and Substances

  1. Life is the Idea in Divine mind of activity, health, wholeness, and the stream of energy. Meditate on the healing power of God
  2. Love is the Idea in Divine mind of universal oneness. Love my good BEFORE it manifests into reality
  3. Wisdom is the Idea in Divine mind of orderly knowledge manifested as intelligence, intuition, inspiration, and clarity (lack of clarity can produce more noise)
  4. Power is the Idea in Divine mind of authority and dominion. I have all the power, authority, and dominion in my life to achieve my dreams. I just have to stand up and do (authority if allowed is 20% given and 80% taken)
  5. Substance is the Idea in Divine mind of perfect form. Always use abundance with substance for God is both

I will develop my skill of quieting any and all noise. God is in the whispering of the still small voice thereby I will hear exactly what I need to move from where I’m at to where I deserve to be. Luke 11:28 (NRSV) “But he said, ‘Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!'”

July 22, 2018 Dream Series Step VIII: Spoken Word Rev Gaylon McDowell

Spoken Word:

  1. Words are the vehicles through which ideas, thoughts, and feelings make themselves manifest
  2. Every word we speak is filled with power. The more developed the consciousness, the more powerful the words
  3. Strong affirmations of truth call forth and shape good from invisible substance into manifestation

Spoken Word: Your words have creative power. When you speak in faith, you are forming and shaping the infinite substance of God into a definite expression.

Associate with people who are ready and willing for change

I and only I must be clear about what I want

There is no place for disorganized thinking for my goals to be accomplished

Past experiences are just that; past. I must be clear about my “today’s” desires

What beliefs am I allowing to hold me back?

Imagine what my better life can be — bring it forth

I expect only the best

No one can truly do me wrong unless I personally allow it

I will not surrender to the experiences of life

What excuses have I placed in my way that have stopped me from achieving?

Waiting on God to do is not an excuse. God has already “done” by giving me the dream; it is now up to me to act and achieve

Say YES to my better life

Write to myself for myself in complete detail my ideal life; read to myself daily (this is for me personally, not the blog)

My decisions bring forth movement and action

Do not allow the desires of my heart to become numb; I know my dream regardless of any and/or all past mistakes which were only experiences designed to educate me

What I say is what is on my mind; my words reflect my conscious AND unconscious thought

My words activate the Word of God to create

John 1:1 (KJV) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”

My confidence and understanding allow me to speak with the Power of God

Failure to understand the power of my words can lead to misuse

Having a higher understanding of my words allows me to speak in the spiritual

Speak peace to the storms currently in my life regardless of what they may seem to be

By affirming truth I’m shaping and bringing forth the substance of God into my actuality

My words create my own freedom AND limitations

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”

Properly using the spoken word brings forth benefits to myself and others

My words must lift me up to my God-given heights and also rebuke that which serves no purpose in my life

The power of “no” allows me to rebuke and remove all that is not for my good

God’s substance is always available to me; I must control what I think and what I expect, and what I ask for

Allow my words of faith to express God’s infinite abundance

Keep my mind focused on what I want. My words bring about my dreams

I AM ONE WITH MY GOOD RIGHT NOW

I’m connected to God via my thoughts and expressions

I must follow the Laws of God not what may have been taught in the past.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV) “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; bust as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

Keep my mind on my desires

Speak (affirm) until I have total and absolute faith in God’s plans for me and then keep on affirming

Examine and eliminate the blind spots in my consciousness

Revelations 3:15-16 (KJV) “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”

Speak the Word in my life all day, everyday

I see my dream, I own my dream, I feel my dream, I am my dream. I am a winner, I am capable, I love myself, I love my dream. I am a person of radical action, right now is the time for my dream.

I asked God and He blessed me with my heart’s desire

Genesis 32:26 (KJV) “and he said, let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me”

Isaiah 56:11 (NRSV) “So shall my word be that goes from my mouth, it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it”

Ephesians 4:29 (NRSV) “Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear”

July 15, 2018 The Dream Series Step VII: Thought Gavin R. Jackson

Step VII: Thought

  1. Thought is a product of thinking (yes, it sounds simple however keep reading)
  2. Thought is mental energy
  3. Thoughts held in mind produce after their own kind

Thought: Thinking is imaging. You must form a mental image of whatever you desire. Create a mental equivalent of your dream in your mind. Thinking in pictures will make your dream come true.

Look at what I have right now; give praise and thanks for all I have been blessed with and remember THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

What I want and need out of life is my personal spiritual proclamation

My spiritual birthright has already given me my hearts desire

My thoughts are 100% in my control

Outside appearances if I allow will take over and change my thoughts. Be not conformed, get back on track and finish my race; serve to the best of my ability and keep God in front

I can interpret patterns of false thoughts and replace them by using various methods to get my energy going and getting back to my plan

Talk to myself, speak words of encouragement to and for myself

Use my “I am” statements for inspiration

Appearances have no place in my thoughts. My goals are my appearance

Be watchful as I send my thoughts forward which allows those thoughts to come back with negativity based upon past results that didn’t work

By allowing fear to rule me I stop the blessings God has for me. Only I stop my blessings

Old thought, old ways of thinking serve no purpose in my today life. Slave thoughts must be left with the slave

I can be renewed whenever I want how many times I want or need

That which serves no purpose must be let go; must die for me to achieve my dreams (goals)

I must reprogram my mind

What comes through my current though pattern is reflected in my life. PAY ATTENTION

Renew my mind, that is my obligation to myself and always to God

By letting go of worry I can move forward to my goals.

PERSONAL OPINION OF SHAKEELA A. MUHAMMAD ONLY:

A person of wisdom does not stick their head in the sand and hope things will get better; exercise your right to use your God given mind to serve others in a manner that is conducive for all well being. That may be using your voice, actions, the pen, etc. A foolish people will refuse to act and sit back depending on God to correct the mess He didn’t make. This is my personal opinion based upon the circumstances our country is currently going through. Yes, we have always had a government that seldom has placed the “people” above the elected officials needs however when the people remain silent or fed up with hearing about a subject we then have no one to blame but ourselves for ALL that happens. In the span of time slavery was only a day ago and it can be again tomorrow. Silence places all especially the children in danger of suffering for our lack of action.

Remember, sooner or later you will also be looked on as an illegal immigrant regardless of how many generations you’ve lived in America, regardless of how your ancestors arrived on these shore; let us not forget the ship Jesus. What happens today to those called illegal can happen to you regardless of being a citizen. The Thirteenth Amendment (Amendment XIII) to the United States Constitution abolished slavery and involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime.  Jails are being built and privatized, cotton still needs to be picked and our children are the new slaves.

I will continue to post on Facebook and Twitter and if my personal opinions are too much for you or go against what you believe then please feel free to de-friend me; I bless you and release you however I will continue to use the free will God placed within me to bring awareness to those who want to listen.

Romans 12:2 (NRSV) “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God is good and acceptable and perfect” (I find this to be highly appropriate and relatable to the worlds current situation and especially America)

July 8, 2018 The Dream Series Step VI: Work Rev. Sheree Thompson Los Angeles, Calif

Step VI: What Is Work?

  1. Work is not labor.
  2. Thinking is a form of work. The mind thinks in images or pictures.
  3. The way yo put my dream in work is to put myself in alignment with my dream. Always work for my dream not against it.
  4. God will reveal to me the work needed in my life to bring forth my dream.

Work: Work proves your FAITH and holds it steady. Take time for work, it is the price of success. Work for your dream, never against it. You work against your dream when you talk against it. You work against your dream when you talk failure. “Work for your dream and it will work for you”

Work the steps I need to achieve my dreams over and over again

I must create a clear picture, a map of my dreams (goals)

I must stay focus and develop a clear mental picture; what I want, where I’m going, how to achieve

The work is already in my soul

I bring only good things to life

My thinking connects me to God

I’m a unique and unrepeatable expression of God

No one can bring my good except me!

My purpose here and now is to experience my God-given rights at this moment

Watch my appearance – God is my source therefore I do not need approval from anyone other than God

Always tell myself Whose I am

I’m already equipped to achieve my dreams

Know what’s in my “tool-belt” and continue to build even after achieving one goal; move on to the next

I’m already equipped for my next step

I have been carrying burdens I don’t need to carry; who rules, false thinking or God

When I walk through my valley I get the chance to show God I recognize His purpose for me

Do I trust God?

Speak to the resistance in front of me – MOVE

Speak the truth to myself about myself in the mist of my battles

God is my magnet who has made my way

There is no place or room for distractions in my life

I get what I allow myself to see

When people and circumstances happen in my life it is MY responsibility to listen for God has put the people/circumstances in my life for a reason. They have their time to teach me; I have a time to learn that lesson

Let go of everything which separates me from my dreams (goals)

I am in control of my thinking

My dreams belong to me; work them

There is no such thing as undemonstrative understanding

I was handpicked by God for my dream

James 2:17 (NRSV) “So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead”

July 1, 2018 The Dream Series Step V: Faith Rev. Roderick Norton

Step V: Faith

  1. Faith MOVES and MOLDS ideas and brings them into expression
  2. Faith KNOWS that it is God’s will that I have all the GOOD I desire (I placed the emphases on the word “good”)
  3. Faith is more than idle wishing or hoping
  4. Faith ENERGIZES. Faith is the energizer of creative power

Faith: Faith is your ability to see your good in the invisible as an idea and brings it into visibility.                II Corinthians 5:7 (NRSV) “for we walk in faith, not by sight”

God is right here, right now for me; my responsibility is to have faith and do

There may be obstacles as I go through life; God is always with me so knock off the fear and step on

When I recognize what to do my dreams (goals) will manifest in the manner I need to succeed. I must first turn to and ask of God including accepting God’s guidance to guide me on my path

It is up to me to make my dreams (goals) my realities

Christ Universal Temple offers practical and workable steps there for my acceptance. These steps are excellent foundation I need to accomplish my dreams

Get to work on my God-given orders

Faith is the strongest aspect of my dreams becoming realities

No dream becomes actual fact without faith first being worked

Faith has been and always will be within me. It is up to me to work it first by unleashing and unlocking that faith

Fear is no longer acceptable

I see my good through my faith. Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

I must work in the “invisible” realm seeing my dreams by which faith (believing what I don’t currently see) to be brought forth into manifestation

My mind sees my imagination taking the “dough” of my mind and seeing it formed into the visible

I must first know and/or recognize what my good is

I must give my mind the proper tools to work my dreams into the visible (reality)

Faith is the power within me to work with the world of the invisible

How do I personally see MY faith?

No-one other than me can work MY faith

Stop looking at what I perceive through my present consciousness. I must elevate my consciousness to my desired state

Get rid of that tired old non-serving, no purpose CURRENT consciousness and replace it with my desired ELEVATED conscious

Fear will paralyze the mind.

To allow fear to control I will stay exactly where I’m at

My decision is mine and mine alone; faith or fear

Under no circumstances must I continue to allow my mind to stay paralyzed by a current condition

Yes, in the past I have made mistakes; I’ve apologized, cleaned up and now it is time to move on!!!

Whenever I have work to do I must FIRST enter into a higher state of consciousness meaning prayer first

When focused on my dream I must wake up faith regardless of how the “wind” is blowing. Remember, God has got me. Let the “wind” (circumstances) blow; The Christ is always there; He’s got me!!!

What am I carrying around on my key-chain? I only need one key which is God. There is no God but God. God has many names and attributes yet there is ONLY one God! (We must learn languages other than just English!!!!!!)

Faith is a deep inner knowing that all I want I already have; now work that faith

Do not doubt spiritual assurance.  James 1:6 (NRSV) “But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind”

Spiritual assurance brings about blessed assurance

Faith has a responsibility to fulfill the will of God in my life.

Matthew 9:18-22; 27-29 (KJV) “According to my faith let it be done”

Stop asking God for things I personally am not sure about or even that I want

My desires will talk to me. Do I believe? Is my faith mine or others?

I must give my dream (goals) my consent to come forth and operate in my visible world

My dream will not force itself on me; I must be willing to accept by giving my consent. Without my consent the dream will not come from the invisible realm to the visible

Faith does not need my past to determine my future

Faith is a right now experience

Stop bring and/or allowing the past to take root into my future

Goals to Work Daily:

  1. Commitment: Establish I will be committed to be what I haven’t been before. Be okay with change!
  2. Cooperation: I must see my good by holding my mind on my desired path. Face my fear and walk into my actual
  3. Patience: Stay in a place of expectation and actuality until the expected event happens. Hold my conscious, hold my dream; do not waiver, God will bring about my dreams. It will happen. My faith is strong; GOD IS

All I need is just a shadow of faith – GET UP AND WALK

My faith brings forth God within me

Fear and indecision have ruled too long in my life; today is my faith day!!! Everything else, step away.

Hebrews 11:1 (NRSV)  “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”

TODAY AND EVERYDAY FORWARD IS MY FAITH DAY!!!

June 24, 2018 The Dream Series Step IV: Love Rev. Gaylon McDowell

Quick reminder; as I stated in my April 23, 2018 post everything that I write are MY notes and MY opinions of what I hear; it may not be what the minister or speaker was trying to get across, my notes are a reflection of my understanding at that time. I have also included the various steps given in the Sunday bulletins as they are beneficial in helping me along my road and hopefully you’ll benefit from them also.

I have another great idea, you are welcome to spend some time with us at Sunday service (smile) the address is: Christ Universal Temple 11901 S. Ashland Ave Chicago, IL 60643. Now keep this in mind, service starts EXACTLY at 10:30am and ends at 12 noon (we strive hard to keep the minister on point) so try your very best to be in your seat no later then 10:15 and don’t worry about not knowing anyone, they smile, you smile and you’re on your way. (And don’t forget to tell them you are my guest) You will truly leave feeling totally renewed! Now let’s get started.
Happy

Step IV: Love

  1. Love is the idea in Divine Mind of universal oneness
  2. Love is a magnet. It draws all we need to make our dreams come true. People are attentive to what they love, and attention focuses the attracting power of the mind
  3. Perfect (mature) love casts out fear. Love and fear cannot coexist

Love: Love is the magnet of the Universe. Love will give, draw and cement all the substance, life and intelligence necessary for your DREAM. AS YOU LOVE, SO YOU REAP!

To come through and accomplish my dreams they must come via the God within me who wants me to wake up, stop being fearful, and go for my dream. Claim it and accomplish it!

God is the giver of my dreams, skills, ideas, and talent; I just need to “do”

God wants me to have my dreams (accomplishments) which is why He gave them to me

Do not allow myself to become disconnected from my soul (I personally need to study this)

If money wasn’t a concern what would I be doing? (I’m answering this privately)

What are my natural advantages? (Got to think on this)

Make my checklist of uninspiring dreams that don’t drive me to action

Understanding determines if something is a problem

My lack of understanding is the root of my stress; now that I know this what am I going to do about it?

Keep the “main thing” the main thing with my time, energy, and what gets my attention!

Don’t expect life to just show up in the “right” way. I have a divine right to set and be what I want

SPEAK LOUDLY TO MY LIFE!!!!!!

Love connects everything and everyone

Change my way of thinking; place love in its God-given place

Why an I hurting on the inside which if I’m going to be totally honest the question is true and one I must address

What I hold onto (pain and lack of forgiveness) will either explode or corrode

My decisions must not only benefit me today they must be beneficial to my tomorrows

God loves me therefore I don’t need to continue allowing bondage and destructive people to have a place in my life. God is therefore I am; that’s it

Another persons “conditioning” has nothing to do with me or have a place in my life

When I learn to love and accept myself as a child of God I will stop allowing difficulty and stress in my life

REMEMBER a double-edged sword cuts both ways!

I must learn and be willing to love myself and my dreams in a world of disagreement

I may currently be in a situation however my mind is on my dream! I will bring my body in harmony with my mind

Change my thoughts, love myself, and do the work now in the present; RIGHT NOW

Do MY work to open myself up to God’s flow

GET OUT OF MY OWN WAY!!!!!!!!    I was meant to produce all that God has placed within me

There is a teacher inside of me, time for her to let fear, shame, and anything else to step on!

Affirm daily and often: “I deserve a better life because I am a child of God and prosperity is my birthright”

John 15:9-10 (NRSV) “As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in His love”

June 17, 2018 Father’s Day The Dream Series: Step III: Asking Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

Step III: Asking

To ask means to claim, invite, and demand (my personal thought is I would have difficult with the “demand” when I’m asking of  God; I think I should demand of myself not God)

  1. To ask is to declare what is already true spiritually
  2. We ask with our thoughts, feelings, words, actions, and reactions
  3. Thoughts held in mind produce after their own kind

Asking: The word “ASK” is to claim or demand. Demand or invite your dream. “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you” Matthew 7:7 (NRSV)

I already know what to do; the how, why, and so what is stopping me from getting my flow back — why am I afraid?

My fear reflects my lack of faith

Ask of God; demand of myself

Potential requires me to make a decision

God is not going to make me pursue my dream; that is up to me

God says open up so I may bless you with your hearts desire

I must decide where I want to be

My decisions are mine to make and live

My dream – my work to accomplish

It has been true in the past that I haven’t asked because I didn’t want to hear the word “no” or I may have felt unworthy – NO LONGER

I have to A.S.K. in order to G.E.T.

Claim in Power using the power of my imagination

Imagination is the formative power in my mind

I must be careful of and for my imagination for it can be used both positively and negatively

Be in the right location (my correct mind) to claim my good

My good is chasing after me however I must be prepared and in my right place to receive all of God’s good that is just for me

I must grow first and correctly in my mind AND feelings!!

Applying the Power of Imagination

  1. Make sure I’m seeing myself as God created me. Judge myself as “wonderfully” made
  2. Recognize that imagination is the gateway to receive mu God-given gifts, the ability for my growth. There is a time and place for everything I’m working on today and planning for my future.
  3. Keep my imagination to myself!
  4. Use my imagination to see myself as I am not as others see me. See me in truth made in the image and likeness of God. Do not accommodate others who are attempting to pull me down
  5. I ask with my thoughts, words, actions, and reactions. I and only I set the stage for my blessings
