June 17, 2018 Father’s Day The Dream Series: Step III: Asking Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

Step III: Asking

To ask means to claim, invite, and demand (my personal thought is I would have difficult with the “demand” when I’m asking of  God; I think I should demand of myself not God)

  1. To ask is to declare what is already true spiritually
  2. We ask with our thoughts, feelings, words, actions, and reactions
  3. Thoughts held in mind produce after their own kind

Asking: The word “ASK” is to claim or demand. Demand or invite your dream. “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you” Matthew 7:7 (NRSV)

I already know what to do; the how, why, and so what is stopping me from getting my flow back — why am I afraid?

My fear reflects my lack of faith

Ask of God; demand of myself

Potential requires me to make a decision

God is not going to make me pursue my dream; that is up to me

God says open up so I may bless you with your hearts desire

I must decide where I want to be

My decisions are mine to make and live

My dream – my work to accomplish

It has been true in the past that I haven’t asked because I didn’t want to hear the word “no” or I may have felt unworthy – NO LONGER

I have to A.S.K. in order to G.E.T.

Claim in Power using the power of my imagination

Imagination is the formative power in my mind

I must be careful of and for my imagination for it can be used both positively and negatively

Be in the right location (my correct mind) to claim my good

My good is chasing after me however I must be prepared and in my right place to receive all of God’s good that is just for me

I must grow first and correctly in my mind AND feelings!!

Applying the Power of Imagination

  1. Make sure I’m seeing myself as God created me. Judge myself as “wonderfully” made
  2. Recognize that imagination is the gateway to receive mu God-given gifts, the ability for my growth. There is a time and place for everything I’m working on today and planning for my future.
  3. Keep my imagination to myself!
  4. Use my imagination to see myself as I am not as others see me. See me in truth made in the image and likeness of God. Do not accommodate others who are attempting to pull me down
  5. I ask with my thoughts, words, actions, and reactions. I and only I set the stage for my blessings

DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR

Currently watching Gayle King on CBS Morning News. Ms. King is at one of the Texas detention center; cages with children. My heart is so heavy. Yes, it is true, they are not following the law regarding entering the country, yes, Mexico also locks up people entering their country illegally and NO this is NOT Mexico. This is the action of a government that has ALWAYS persecuted people of color. This must stop! What makes it even more disgusting is how Jeff Sessions misquoted the Bible and how donald blames the democratic party instead of claiming HIS policy and HIS lies. There must be something that WE THE PEOPLE can do. So-called God-loving  people stood by as Nazi’s murdered, so-called God loving people stood by as dictators murdered their own people, so-called God loving people stood by and falsely justified slavery, and so-called God loving people still stand by while this countries want to be dictator embraces other dictators while lying over and over. Why is the congress silent? Who do they represent, the people or donald? WHY ARE THEY AFRAID OF DONALD? WHAT DOES DONALD HAVE ON CONGRESS MEMBERS TO FORCE THEM TO GO ALONG AND JUSTIFY LIES?

There will be a town hall meeting for my district which I don’t believe will be about this but I strongly encourage , no BEG all that care to attend these meetings and find out who your representatives are; call them, write them, text them, and email them. WE MUST DO SOMETHING

June 10, 2018 UFBL Founder’s Day The Dream Series: What Is A Dream? Step II: Decision Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

Step II: Decision

  1. To decide means I accept a work order from God
  2. A decision means I choose a course of action
  3. Decision means firmness, steadfastness, and determination
  4. Decide NOW! “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways” James 1:8 (KJV)

Decision: The word means firmness; steadfastness, determination. Decide NOW!                                        “for the doubter, being double-minded and unstable in every way, must not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” James 1:8 (NRSV)

Rediscover the dream I’ve allowed to go to sleep

I’m alive therefore I still have my assignment from God

It’s time for my dream to come to pass – GET MOVING

I make myself aware through my decisions

Life is decision driven

Dreams for tomorrow are built on my today’s decisions and vice versa

A decision is the creative control and the initiative plan that I establish on what will happen in my everyday life

I plan to be successful thus I work my success

Keep my control; do not give it away

I consistently select what works and remove that which doesn’t work for me

No complaining; make my changes which benefit and bless me

Every decision I make has a connection with a dominate feeling

There must be an alignment in my conscious

Expand my consciousness, the larger my consciousness the greater my possibilities

How do I transform the experience in the moment? I must make the decision on how I will “code” the experience

I must always be consistent; my decisions must be consistent and in order with my dreams

What I feel is my choice

I must do something with what God has given me; I don’t need anything else

Do not introduce or allow an unbalanced force into my subconscious, if it is there REMOVE IT

STAY IN ACTION!!!!!

Working my dream may knock me down for a while; it’s not always going to be easy. Get up and keep working my dream. Be steadfast with God’s determination

Failure is not my option; keep moving

Persistence is another form of faith

Do not introduce doubt into my dreams; God rules, therefore I rule

Count on the Principle; it works IF I work it

Proverbs 21:5 (NRSV) The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to want

June 3, 2018 The Dream Series: What Is A Dream? Step 1: Desire Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

What is a Dream?

  1. A dream is a work assignment offered by God
  2. A dream means a deep desire to door be
  3. It means to acquire something of tremendous importance

Step 1: Desire  Name your desire; this is the urge within us indicating that God seeks to express Itself through us

  1. Desire is the dream in embryo state
  2. Desire is God tapping into my soul seeking expression
  3. Desire must be impressed upon the subconscious mind before it can be accomplished
  4. I cannot desire anything that I am not capable of attaining

Dreams come true when I know what to do

What is my motivation?

Attainment of my dreams won’t be easy. It will require work and the best of me

My dreams are my goals – work them and step away from the naysayers

My work assignment is possible

I am investing in reshaping my life

Can I see my possibilities? I have the power to transform me

Write out my vision (only to myself) BE CLEAR

Hinders to my dream

  1. There is not enough
  2. I’m not enough

I must prune negativity from my life

Overcome and let go that I’m unworthy. I am all and have all that God is

With God before me there is a new possibility; it’s not over until I take hold of the desires from God and move out on them

Luke 12:32 (NRSV) Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom

John 15:1-8 (KJV) (Use to stay on point!)

  1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman
  2. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away; and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit
  3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you
  4. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me
  5. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing
  6. If a man abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned
  7. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you
  8. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples

May 13, 2018 My Notes: Get Out Of Your Own Way Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

It doesn’t take a lot of words to help me get back on track

Being critical doesn’t change anything

If you have nothing good to say, say nothing

You must pay for the words you speak

Self criticizing tears down from the inside

Build yourself up when you tear yourself down

Fight or run; neither option helps me develop myself

At the root of everything I say comes from my thoughts

Negativity put out today shows up as the harvest tomorrow

Self criticism doesn’t help me to walk the path I want

When self-criticism happens:

  1. Pray for myself
  2. Encourage myself to do better
  3. Identify the areas where I can improve
  4. DO BETTER

Everyone is not healthy enough to travel with me

A mess is a mess of my own making

Clean up my own mess; it’s my responsibility

Shift from the state of complaining to the state of action

Have courage to pick up what I’ve laid down

I am where I am because I want to do better

My story can be designed to help me stay where I’m at versus cleaning up my mess and moving forward to a clean experience

Do I really want to do better?

Do I want to be blessed right Now?

God will pick me up out of the experience; I just need to get up

When you complain so much you can fail to see the blessing when it appears

I can put myself in the pattern I want to get out of when there is no active work and prayer

Cleaning up my mess interrupts my pattern

Pick up your bed and walk!!!!!

Tired of being tired? Get up and walk

It’s not the circumstance that dictates; its me willing to connect to God. GET UP AND WALK

Activate the Power

Pay attention – stop dividing my time

Focus – When I give myself over to the Power of God I’m activating my God Power

There is some stuff I’m going through that my paying attention to God will pass on by

Forgive and heal

How do I forgive? Make the decision not to let the past control

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NRSV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insights. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths

Philippians 4:13 (KJV) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

April 29, 2018 Notes: The Power of Praise and Thanksgiving Rev. Deandre Patterson

What I don’t practice at home I will never get in church

Bridge gaps between religions

I won and didn’t have to fight

I’ve had to come up against somethings that have been larger then me — God is there

Believers fight knowing at the beginning we are winners

Proverbs: the fear of the Lord is the beginning

I am unbeatable

God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness

When I can’t He can; When I don’t He does

God will give me a brand new mind; God is complete

Think and choose my battles

The Lord is with me

Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord

Tool to be used: attitude of worship and praise

My weapon in praise is God

When I praise God He will bring me through any and all difficulties

Praise of God brings peace

Win the battles I can win

When I praise God I am

Talking to God and tell Him how valuable He is to me

Praise is a Commandment from God

Praise the Lord; His mercy endured the right way

My breakthrough is attached to my to my praise

There is power and benefits in praise

Know how to survey my surroundings quietly; just between me and God

Worshiping God is a weapon against evil

Turn around is coming, I must praise God through it

I’m too purposed to pay folks attention; God is my source

Mediation is a weapon that defeats enemies

Worshiping God is showing my respect for Him

Worship doesn’t confuse the devil (false thinking), praise of God does

Get ready for my overflow

President Barack Obama June 19, 2015

An oldie but a goodie!!!!! Considering the state of our country today I thought it would be good to listen and remember how a TRUE President conducts himself. Aw, remember the gold old days. POWER TO THE PEOPLE

Folks, PLEASE get out and vote in ALL of the elections local, state, and federal. There will be no change unless you participate and vote those out of office who place themselves and their cronies ahead of the people not only of this country but remember what they do will “trickle” over the world. Send a clear message and VOTE

I am on a forward march!

It’s my turn!! I must shift my energy to that which God has placed in me

I am = unconditional awareness

First I see it, then I become it

I am (me) get condition by whatever I put in front of me

I am because of how I use my I am

All of me has not been conditioned, I can become what I’ve never been. There is hope for change

Feed my I am new ideas

I can tap into the best part of me and become what I’ve never been before

Be bold and daring enough to take on what God intends for me

April 1, 2018 Notes Easter Sunday Strong, Stronger, Strongest. The Strongest Always Get Up Again! Rev. Dr. Derrick B. Wells

I have the power to cross out and eliminate that which I no longer need. The power is within me

Sometimes I can be forced back (by myself) I can, I will learn my lesson AND get my blessing

I’m my own and biggest critic

Walking with God is not always easy; it is always beneficial

Know that greatness comes with a great price

My trials come to make me strong. I’m getting stronger every day

Make a small shift in my mindset

1 Move My Faith: Faith is more than idle wishing. Is my faith underdeveloped

1a. Area of Hope: Keep moving forward even when I feel like giving up.

Commit myself to not giving up

1b. Blind Faith: Move as if God has got me regardless of what I think

1c. Understanding Faith: I don’t have to doubt that God has got me.

I AM A FAITH THINKER!

Average thought patterns can only bring about average thinking

1d. Faith Thinker: God can and will be decisive and make my decisions

Trust that God will bless me over difficulties

  1. Move My Focus: What I focus on is where I’m going. Difficulty always shows up as a lesson to teach me God is in the mist of my challenges. No matter what I think God can think higher
  2. I have control over my thoughts, behavior, and what I feel
  3. I learn by the problems I’m given to solve
  4. It’s not about just focusing on what is in front of me
  1. Move My Feet: There is a clear distinction between talk and action!I’m ready to get up again
  2. THE CHRIST IN ME HAS SET ME FREE
  3. I can’t take the old me into my new experience!!!!
